Navigate to the folder where your music from iTunes. For Windows XP are in the \\ \\ stored \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ My Music folder \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ iTunes and Vista are in the \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ iTunes \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\.

Then copy the entire contents of the iTunes folder on your backup device, if you like the music, but you can calculate the part!

Remember - if you transfer iTunes purchases to another computer or a new installation, you can no files that are linked to their own computer.

Alternatively, you can in iTunes, you can go to File -> Library -> save it to disk ...
This backup copy of your library on a disk, however, and its storage device.

How did they find?

If you wish to copy all your music files, so if you can then drag and drop your music files in the My Music folder to your storage device. If you organize all your music from iTunes, then you are in your iTunes Music folder.

If you really want to get your music files in the storage device for use with iTunes and click on "Tools" then "Settings transferred to iTunes. Then click the Advanced tab" on the other far to the left, click then change them to the location of the iTunes Music folder and change the location of the device. This will tell iTunes to every kind of music you downloaded from the iTunes Store to the new site and if you iTunes to all of your music Save from others who are organizing in the new location, too.
