Does anyone use an electric food steamer? - baby food steamer

I buy one off e-bay and was very excited, but I think it takes forever for something to cook. Can anyone tell me whether this applies to all electric steamers normal when I have a few reliable? Personal experience would have liked. I've tried a few slices of apple and pear cook for my baby now (cut very small pieces, and not after he cooked in an hour.

I would like to respond about electric steamer, but I really do not know.

What did I know is that you have a steamer basket, almost anywhere can buy (I myself in a huge tent) for about $ 10. A steam all my vegetables there for my baby. I have an inch of water in the bottom of a pot, place the basket, and add a few pieces of one inch of squash, I put fresh green beans, etc. I am the fire and 20 to 25 minutes, everything muffled is ready!

At Peel apples and pears and core them, I ... I use an apple slicer, cut the core and in slices. Then add a little water and cook the sauce with apple, pear. It takes about 45 minutes. You will, and simmer to a pulp. I add a drop of cinnamon (no sugar needed if you use a mix of sweet apples and oranges. Try to) it with a variety of apples.

Delicious and easy.

Hope this helps ....

Uh, our boat in about 15 minutes for broccoli or rice to present. I always have my pears in a pan with some water and then with the food processor. For apples, I used all Mott's natural, without added sugar. It is cheaper to buy apples.
